Developmentally Appropriate Practice online programs

Developmentally Appropriate Practice and Intentionality and Developmentally Appropriate Practice and Play address the ways in which DAP supports intentional teaching and play - key elements of effective teaching of young children.

The programs are designed as self-paced, interactive learning opportunities that can be used by individuals as a self-study resource. The videos also feature classroom scenes depicting intentionality in action and play in programs for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, kindergartners, and primary grade children; and voices of experts: teachers, administrators, researchers, and others.

Target Audience: The online programs are designed for teaching staff, family child care providers, and others who work with young children from 0-8 years. In addition, archived Webinars are specific to various roles (see below).

Staff Development for Educators
http://www.ed2go.com/sde/
Founded in Peterborough, New Hampshire, in 1986 by Jim and Lillian Grant, SDE's original goal was to provide New England teachers the opportunity to learn the best techniques from the best teachers in the region. It was clear from the very first meeting—held in a school lunchroom in a tiny rural New Hampshire town—that Jim and Lillian's idea that “teachers learn best from other teachers” was not only revolutionary, it was right.
