The Board of NCaeyc is committed to providing opportunities for members to continue their education in many ways. NCaeyc has scholarship opportunites for higher education degrees and assistance for attending the NCaeyc Annual Study Conference. There are also opportunities for participating in Advocacy Forums (information posted when availabale) and for becoming a member of NAEYC/NCaeyc. This scholarship provides assistance for members to attend the NCaeyc Annual Study Conference. The Scholarship includes the registration cost for Conference and half of a double room at the hotel where the Conference is being presented. 

This program was founded in memory of Ms. Loretta Hatfield, a well-known early childhood professional who dedicated her life to enhancing the quality of education for young children. Ms. Hatfield served as an NCaeyc Board member, an NAEYC Accreditation Validator, a mentor and the author of many high quality curriculum resources in her position as the Director of Creative Development for Kaplan Early Learning Company.

The Board recognizes that there are people working in the EC field who cannot afford to become members at this time. Funds are allocated each year to assist those who qualify to have a membership in NCaeyc/NAEYC.
